Team owner Dale
Earnhardt, Jr., made that announcement today via the team’s Twitter account,
saying, “@ReganSmith and @JRMotorsports have a deal
in place for 2015.”
In his second full-time season with JRM, Smith is
currently second in the championship standings, trailing only his teammate, Chase
Elliott. He finished third a year ago behind champion Austin Dillon and Sam
Hornish Jr. He is a four-time winner
since joining JRM, including his debut with the team at Homestead-Miami
Speedway in 2012 and this year’s season-opener at Daytona International
Speedway.
